The kitchen work triangle is concept usually integrated into most kitchen designs
It is a visual indication of the kitchen design plans which connects the three most important points in every kitchen. These being the sink, refrigerator, and cook-top.
The concept which apparently has originated back in the 1920’s brings about the most efficient path for these 3 points and calculates the amount of distance between them to allow an efficient design.
It is stated that
- no leg of the triangle should be less than 1.2m and no more than 2.7m
- the sum of all legs on triangle should not be less than 4.0m and no more than 7.9m
- there should be no obstacles that intersect the triangle by more than 0.3m.
- no tall or full height obstacles shall not come between 2 points of the triangle
